This December, ActUp Theater dazzles with the musical sensation, DREAMGIRLS!

Since its Broadway debut, DREAMGIRLS has captivated audiences with its emotional depth and vibrant performances. The audience is taken on a journey through the glamorous yet challenging world of the music industry in the 1960s and 1970s. Inspired by the rise of iconic girl groups like The Supremes, this show follows the story of three talented singers—Effie White, Deena Jones, and Lorrell Robinson—who start as a small-time act called "The Dreamettes" and rise to stardom as "The Dreams." ActUp invites you and your family out for a story showcasing a powerful narrative, unforgettable music, and the triumphs of black artists breaking into the industry.

Program Advertisement | DREAMGIRLS

Program Advertisements can usually be found in the Productions program handed out at each show. They are a paid tribute to cast members from their companies, organizations, parents, family members, teachers, or supporters, and are a popular way to celebrate a cast member’s hard work, accomplishment, and talent.

Like commercial advertising in school yearbooks, Program Advertisements help offset the cost of the program for ActUp. They’re offered in multiple sizes such as ¼ page, ½ page and include photos and a personal congratulatory message from the supporter to the cast member. Our ActUp team will design them as well!
