Through an ACTIVATE workshop, immerse your participants in one of the many themes of The Lion King

Cultural ID: Cultural identity affects a person’s sense of self, feeling of belonging, and perception of the world. Weaving in music, food, art, and more, in this workshop, we explore how personal narratives, lived experiences, and oral histories are foundations in preserving and celebrating personal identity. Simba shows us that finding yourself is not easy, and we will work through his story to help us navigate our own identity. Because who you are matters!

Leadership: Do you want to know the difference between dreamers and leaders? Vision. Leaders draw on their unique personalities, values, and vision to stand out from the crowd. This workshop will help provide a plan of action for becoming an effective leader among peers, a self-advocate, and a champion of the community. We will explore the character traits of Mufasa’s leadership and how it is shown in the balance established in Pride Rock. Transform your dream into a vision by being the best leader you can be!

Resilience: Resilience is necessary to develop healthy, adaptable young people. People who develop resilience are far better able to face disappointment, learn from failure, cope with loss, and adapt to change. This workshop will explore the journey of athletes and stars using the five pillars of resilience: self-awareness, mindfulness, self-care, positive relationships & purpose. We will dive into Simba’s journey of experiencing loss, then finding his way back to the circle of life. Get inspired to defeat the odds and bounce back!

Girl Power: Intended to inspire, motivate, and celebrate women, Girl Power aims to educate on women’s notable achievements through open discussions and exercises on vulnerability, strength, beauty, and femininity. We will explore Nala's journey and connect how women have supported the creation of great leaders. Claim your power!
