This spring, Once On This Island comes alive on stage with a powerful tale of love and resilience, brought to life by an electrifying ensemble showcasing vibrant soca rhythms, dancehall grooves, and soulful singing. Guided by the gods of the island —Love, Earth, Water, and Death — one brave girl, Ti Moune, sets out on a transformative journey where she challenges the boundaries of her world. With the gods holding sway, Ti Moune must confront the ultimate decision.. What will she choose: free will, love or destiny?

ActUp Theater’s Arts Academy is back for summer 2025—bigger, bolder, and ready to enjoy
New York City Broadway’s HAMILTON!
This year participants will have the opportunity to:
- Join an immersive learning experience
- Develop their talent with master teaching artists
- AND, go to New York City to see HAMILTON on Broadway
For 4 weeks this summer, we’re turning up the heat and helping youth and teens sharpen their skills and explore their creativity.
